Registration Policy

There are two ways to register for a National Marriage Encounter weekend:

1.Online at National-Marriage-Encounter.org, or

2.Call Rich & Fran Walden at (586)838-4447.

Couples are placed on our registration list according to the date of their registration.  We must receive a couple’s $75 non-refundable registration fee within one week from the date of registration.  Once the fee is received, the couple’s registration is confirmed and we reserve their room at the retreat center.  If the weekend is full when a couple registers, they may request that their name be placed on a waiting list, or they may choose to transfer their registration to the next available weekend of their choice.

Wait List Policy

At times, our limited space at the beautiful retreat centers of Manresa and Capuchin prevents us from accommodating all couples.  Couples who have requested placement on our waiting list will be given priority based on their registration date.  If space becomes available, the couple at the top of our waiting list will be contacted by phone.  If they choose to attend and their $75 registration fee has not yet been paid, we request a prompt payment (preferably by credit card) to secure their room at the retreat center.

Cancellation Policy

We understand cancellations are sometimes necessary due to unexpected circumstances.  In this event, couples should contact Rich & Fran Walden at (586)838-4447.  If a couple cancels their registration and has already paid the $75 non-refundable registration fee, National Marriage Encounter will gladly transfer the fee (one time only) to another weekend of the couple’s choice within 24 months.  We understand the value and importance of this weekend experience and will do our best to accommodate all couples.

No Show Policy

National Marriage Encounter contacts all couples by phone one week prior to the weekend encounter to answer any last minute questions.  If a couple chooses not to show up for the weekend without prior notification by calling (586)838-4447, the $75 non-refundable registration fee becomes non-transferable as well.
